Joseph Amezquita Obituary

Joseph Edward Amezquita Mar. 1, 1943 - Dec. 12, 2009 Joseph Edward Amezquita passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009, at the age of 66. Joseph's father, Louis Amezquita and sister Rosita A. Villegas, both preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Hermelinda Amezquita; four daughters, Hermelinda Amezquita, Liza Amezquita, Anna Marie Amezquita-Gage and husband George Gage, Jo Anna Rubio and husband Victor Rubio; his grandchildren, Victor Rubio, Jr., Joseph Rubio, Hermelinda Hurtado, Ryan Rubio, James Gage, Emma Gage; his mother, Rosaura Amezquita; four brothers; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Louis and Rebecca Amezquita, Albert and Margaret Amezquita, Steven and Stacy Amezquita, Michael and Pat Amezquita and Andrew Villegas. Also left to remember him are his nieces and nephews: Gina Davis and husband Chuck, their children Charlie and Matthew, Baron Villegas and wife Renee, their children Delilah and Baron, Jr., Lucia Amezquita, Amanda Amezquita, Michelle Navarro and husband Arron Navarro; Mia Amezquita, Joshua Vela and Allison Vela and Nicholas Myers. Our dad taught us many things: to love your family, to work hard and to live in a way that is pleasing to Christ. The way he lived his life and the way he loved his family; his parents, his brothers, his sisters and all the children of our family, serves as a model for us all. Rosary will be held Tuesday, December 15th, 7:00 p.m. at The Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel at 6204 South 1st St. Mr. Amezquita will Lie In State 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 16th at Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Buda, with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
