Billy Ray Powell, age 51, of Austin, passed away November 24, 1994.  Bill showed us an unbelievable amount of courage and strength during his illness.  He constanely showed patience and a deep appreciation to his family, friends and medical staff.  We will always remember the example of faith and strength that Bill displayed, and the lasting impact on those who knew him during this time.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Tammi Powell; his parent, Walton and Lucille Powell, his brother, Mickey Powell, all of Austin; his sisters, Sandra Boyer of Southland and Linda James of Austin.

Bill leaves us many great memories of his talents in music, art and athletics.  Most of all, Bill loved his family and joins us all in looking forward to a great family reunion in the presence of the Lord.

Bill and his family want to express the very deepest words of appreciation to Dr. Bruce McDonald and to the many nurses and staff of the 5 South Wing of Seton Hospital.

Services 2:00pm today at Wilke-Amey-Clay Funeral Home with burial in Live Oak Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Bill Lenburg, Clarence Woosley, Keith Davis, Jeff Mercer, Ryan James and Michael Schneider.  Honorary Pallbearer is Harrel Boyer.
