Jimmie Acuna

Our beloved Jimmie Acuna, 67, of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, after a 10 year battle with Cancer. Preceded in death by Parents; Manuel and Joyce Acuna. Survived by his beloved Wife; Gloria Acuna, 4 Children; James (Jon Miller) Acuna, Gilbert (Emma) Acuna, Margaret (Louis) Hernandez, Graciela (Chris Flores) Acuna, 1 Sister; Susan (Tony) Carrero, 1 Brother; Gilbert (Lourdes) Acuna, 1 Step Sister; Esther Gonzales, 9 Grandchildren; and 1 Great Granddaughter due in November. Recitation of Holy Rosary will be on Thursday at 7:00pm at Mission Funeral Home-Remembrance Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 1 pm at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Mr. Acuna was a Veteran of U.S. Navy and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was employed by Commemorative Brands, Inc. for 37 years until his retirement. Special Thanks to Texas Oncology, Seton main 7th floor staff, Dr. Beth Hillerstedt and Dr. Subir Chhikara. Special friends; Genaro Rodriguez and Family, and Jackie Boy, (his pet chihuahua) Pallbearers; Joseph Mata, Pete Lopez, Mark Ramos, Louis Hernandez, Luis Cordova, Curtis Flores.
