Johnny was born on December 10th, 1946 and passed away on May 22nd, 2024 at the age of 77.
Our beloved Johnny Mendez Lopez, age 77, resident of Austin, Texas, was born into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. He is reunited with his parents, Enrique "Henry" Lopez and Julia Mendez Lopez; and his sisters, Judy Lopez, Minnie Lopez, and Betty Lopez. Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Irene Vasquez Lopez; his sons, John Henry Lopez and Mark Lopez, and his wife, Ericka; his grandsons, Xavier Joel Lopez, Zachary Ray Lopez, and Steven Anthony Lopez; his great-grandchildren, Xylia Jae Lopez, Aubrey Jade Lopez, Xavier Joel Lopez, II, Gabriella Ray Lopez, Abram Jet Lopez, Zachary Ray Lopez, II; his sisters, Josie Hernandez, Henrietta Lopez, and Gloria Lopez; his brother, Richard Lopez; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. Pallbearers will be Benny Lopez, Jr., Anthony Hernandez, Richard Hernandez, Steven Lopez, Charles Rayos, Sr., and Trinidad Rayos. Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny Lopez and Joshua Castaneda. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m., with the Funeral Liturgy beginning at noon, at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. Committal to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
