Evangelist Raymond B. Vasquez Jr. Evangelist Raymond B. Vasquez Jr. went home to his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday evening, January 22, 2012. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Vasquez and survived by his children, Raymond S. Vasquez III, John Vasquez (wife Irene), Daniel Vasquez, Sandra Roque (husband John-Paul), Roger Vasquez, Red Vasquez and Paul Vasquez. Raymond had 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Although he was only 68 years young, his life touched thousands of people as he traveled all over the United States and Mexico spreading the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. God performed many miracles of healing and deliverance through Raymond who always said that he was just an instrument for God's use. His charismatic preaching and warm smile always brightened up any place he went. He will be deeply missed. Pall bearers will be Gilbert Machuca Jr., Chris Machuca, John Jr. Vasquez, Erby Romero, Rudy Vasquez Jr. and Roger Vasquez Jr. Rosary will be held at Angel Funeral Home on 1606 S. 1st Austin, TX 78704 on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held at Santa Barbara Catholic Church at 13713 FM 969, Austin TX 78724 on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Jones Cemetery at Cadillac Dr. off FM 969.
