Joe B. Moreno. August 11,1947 - December 10, 1965.  Died at the age of 18.  Served in Quang Ngai, South Vietnam.

An 18-year-old Austin Marine, Joe Moreno, was among 42 American servicemen listed as killed in action in the latest casualty list compiled this week in Viet Nam.  The young private first class, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fortunato A. Moreno of 708 Valdez, was a former Johnston High School student who joined the Marines in October last year.  He had been in Viet Nam since August.  The youth's family was notified Monday by the Navy Department that the body will arrive home in seven to 10 days.  Funeral arrangements are pending here.
