George M. Mier, born August 23, 1948 in Austin, TX, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday December 13, 2013 at the Riverside Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Vivian Mier, sisters, Josie, Alice and Janie, and brothers, Vivian and Joe Mier.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lupe Mier, daughter, Jennifer Mier, sons, Christopher and Jason Mier, grandchildren Joshua Puga, Elijah Cruz Mier, and Arianna Faye Mier, as well as many siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of DaVita El Milagro Dialysis Center, South Austin Hospital and the Riverside Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, for the years of continued support and healthcare.
