J.D. Winn, Jr (Bumpsey) was born June 28, 1949 to Rev. J.D. Winn and Ella Marie Davis Winn.  He was the first of four children born to this union.  He departed this life on March 26, 2002.  J.D. Winn, Jr. accepted Christ as his saviour and was baptized under the Pastorage of his father Elder J.D. Winn, Sr.  He became a member of the Willie Chapel Primitive Baptist Church and served as his health would permit.  He graduated from Johnston High School and also attended McLennon Junior college.  He served in the United States Army reaching the rank of Sergent and received an honorable discharge.  J.D. Winn, Jr. was united in Holy Matrimony and two children were born to his union, Sheila Winn and Mark Anthony Winn.  He later had another son, Jason Devon White Winn.  Later, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Rosetta King.  To this union three children were born, Julian Devone Winn, Marcus E.J. Winn and J.D. Winn, III.  This marriage lasted in love until his going to rest.  He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife;six children;a father and mother that he dearly loved;two brothers, Van J.C. Winn (Gayla), Marc Wayne Winn;one sister, Marsha Raye Winn-Byrd;two grandchildren;twelve nieces and nephews (one preceded him in death);four great nieces and nephews;and a host of relatives and friends.

Interment:  St John Colony Cemetery, Dale, Texas.  Services entrusted to the Caring Professionals of King-Tears Mortuary, Inc.Austin,Tx.
