Maria Erlinda Rodriguez Maria Erlinda Rodriguez, born July 20, 1949, of Del Valle, Texas, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 4:35 p.m. Erlinda grew up in Austin, graduated from A.S. Johnston High School in 1968 and attended the University of Texas. Erlinda worked and retired from the State of Texas after 30 years of combined services for the Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Texas Department of Insurance. Erlinda continued her education and career and managed her own accounting and paralegal business. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest B. Ojeda. Erlinda is survived by her husband, Silvestre Rodriguez; sons, Silvestre Jr., and Antonio; daughter-in-law, Sarah; grandchildren, Alejandra, Marissa, Celena, Gaby, Cassandra, Carina, Toni, and Analyce; mother, Santos Lopez Ojeda; sisters, Mary Ojeda, Ernestina Guerra and husband Alvin, Ellie Stanley, Ofilia Haney and husband Terry; brothers, Ernest Jr., Louis, Alfred and wife Paula; Albert and wife Gloria. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress Avenue. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E. 9th Street, Austin, with Friar Francisco Munoz officiating.
