Larry Benavides - Class Of 1969 VIEW PROFILE

Our beloved Larry G. Benavides, a proud and distinguished Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Army, was called home on Sunday, November 27, 2022.

Larry is awaited in Heaven by his parents, Joe A. Benavides, and Sophia Garza Guerrero; as well as his siblings, Irene Medina, Mary Galvan, Stella Alvarado, ‘Anne’ Trevino, Frank Guerrero and his faithful dog, Shadow.

Larry has left behind his loving family, including his former wife, friend and mother to his children, Rosie Benavides; children, Theresa Ann Melendez and her husband Johnny Melendez, Sandra Jean Vasquez and her husband Richard Vasquez, Joel Joseph Benavides, and Lisa Marie Benavides; grandchildren, Adrianna Renee Melendez, Joshua Tristan Melendez, Daniel Vicente Vasquez, Renata Olivia Vasquez, Elizabeth Anne Benavides, and Emilia Grace Benavides; great grandchildren, Josiah Eli Melendez, Joshua Tristan Melendez Jr., Jameson Michael Melendez and Kaylee Ann Melendez; siblings, ‘Helen’ Castilleja, Alfred Benavides, Joe Angel Benavides Jr., Beatrice Benavides, Frances Loera, and Betty Arnold; as well as many other loving friends and family.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E. Anderson Ln., Austin, Texas, 78752. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704.
