Ernestina Guerra, age 72, of Austin, Texas passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022.

Ernestina Ojeda was a native Austinite born in 1950. She married

Alvino Guerra on July 19, 1970, and they proudly raised their daughter. She will be remembered for her loving nature, her kindness, and her devotion to her family.

Ernestina worked for the Railroad Commission of Texas until her early retirement to take care of all four of her grandchildren. Her greatest accomplishment was being able to raise and care for them, educating them, as well as taking them to the park and museums, each of them until they entered primary school. She would always say, “How did we get so lucky?” But we were the lucky ones, Mom.

Ernestina is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Santos Ojeda, father-in-law Roberto Guerra and her sister Linda Rodriquez. She is survived by her husband of fifty-two years Alvino Guerra, daughter Laura Mullen, son in law Mark Mullen Jr., grandchildren Mark Mullen III, Isaac Mullen, Alyssa Mullen, Joshua Mullen, her siblings: Mary E. Ojeda, Ernest Ojeda II, Elida Stanley, Louis Ojeda, Ofelia Haney, Alfredo Ojeda, and Albert Ojeda.

Pallbearers: Mark Mullen III, Isaac Mullen, Joshua Mullen (honorary), Danny Beltran, Louis Ojeda Jr., Michael Ybarra and Matthew Ybarra

• Visitation: Thursday, December 15 from 4:00-7:00 PM Rosary 7:00-8:00 PM at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress

• Funeral Mass: Friday, December 16 at 10:15 AM at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church

• Internment immediately following at Assumption Cemetery.
