Roland Vela Jr., age 59, of Austin passed away on April 23, 2010. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dolores M. Saenz; brother, Felix M. Vela. Roland is survived by his sons, Roland Vela III, Earl Ray Vela; seven granddaughters; former wife, Elsa Vela; companion, Angie Herrera; father, Roland Vela Sr., sisters, Elizabeth Garcia, Ann Sanchez, Mary Saucedo; brother, Mario Saenz. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Monday, April 26, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park, Austin, Texas.
