Dora "Aurora" Moreno - Class Of 1970

Aurora (Dora) Moreno On August 17, 2012 Dora Moreno was taken to be with our Heavenly Father. She was born October 28, 1952 in Austin, TX. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Zachary Joseph Moreno, her sister, Janie Ortegon, her brother Johnny Moreno. Surviving family members include: parents Joe and Mary Moreno, Sr., Companion, Cosme Barceló. Sisters: Dolores Moreno, Mary Moreno (Ben), Irene Saraceno (Mike), Alice Moreno (Olin), Helen Moreno, Annie Morales. Brothers: Joe Moreno (Terry), Peter Moreno (Berna), Paul Moreno (Maria), numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Dora was employed by the State of Texas Water Development Board for over 20 years. She was a native Austinite, who for the past 12 years resided in San Antonio, Texas. She was a member of the American GI Forum of Texas. Dora had a never ending generosity, kindness and love to all that were blessed to have known her from young to old. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Hone Serenity Chapel (South). Funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Dolores Catholic Church. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery. Pallbearers: BJ Sifuentes, Joey Moreno, Gilbert Martinez, Jr., Samuel Saraceno, Andrew Ortegon, Mark Moreno, Erron Coronado, John Cris Moreno. Honorary Pallbearers: Valerie Moreno, Juan Mireles, Yolanda Mesa, Gil & Lupe Rodriguez.

JoAnn Hinojosa (Longoria) (1970)

Dora was my friend during high school and after.  She was kind and soft spoken and she had the most beautiful eyes.
