Walter Lee Scott - Class Of 1970

Walter Lee Scott was born September 17, 1951 to the union of Charlie and Lula Dorsey Scott in Taylor, Texas. He was the third of nine children. He attended Austin public schools and later attended Austin Community College where he received an Associate's Degree. Walter served his country in the United States Army for two tours during the Vietnam Era. He received an honorable discharge from the service in 1976. Walter leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Lula Yarbrough; daughter, Lucretia (Steven) Cannon; four sons, Darryl Davis, Timothy , Andre , and Walter Scott Jr. all of four sisters, Mae Wyche, Gertrude Davis, Betty Yarbrough, and Sophia Yarbrough all of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Larry Yarbrough and Monroe Yarbrough, Jr. (Beverly) both of Manor, Texas; 32 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; four aunts, Sammie Hutchinson of Manor, Texas, Helen Ford of Houston, Texas, Annie Middlebrook and Janice Dorsey of Austin, Texas; 17 nieces and nephews; two stepdaughters, Bernetta (Richard) Gratten of Round Rock, Texas and Katrina Hill of Harker Heights, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held today July 20, 2010, 11:00 a.m. @ St. James Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Killeen, TX.
