Our beloved Ernest S. Vasquez, age 70, resident of Austin, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 14, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, David J. Vasquez and Charlotte Silva Vasquez; his siblings, John Vasquez and Tom Vasquez; Ernest is survived by his children, Thomas Vasquez, Amy Parker, and Ernest Vasquez Jr.; five grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren; his siblings, David Vasquez and wife Cheva, Louis Vasquez and wife, Annie, Estella Vasquez, Guadalupe Vasquez and husband, Luis Vasquez, Ralph Vasquez, and wife, Kathy, Carlos Vasquez and wife, Frances, Gilbert Vasquez and Eva, sister in law, Minnie Vasquez, Edward Vasquez and wife, Diane; many nieces and nephews, and numerous loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 p.m., with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E. Anderson Ln, Austin, Texas 78752. Services will be live-streamed to allow those unable to attend to participate. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 12:00 PM. Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin, capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries. Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus, it is recommended that you not attend services. The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support during this very difficult time.
