John Ernest Dickerson, Jr.

John Ernest Dickerson, Jr. was born on January 16, 1963 in Austin, Texas. He was the third child of John Dickerson and Annette Wilson. 

John professed his belief in Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He united with St. Edwards Baptist Church at an early age. In the late 1980's John was called into the ministry and proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ. His first sermon was preached at St. Edwards Baptist Church Austin, Texas under the leadership of Pastor J. C. Adams. His first sermon was entitled: "Put on the Whole Armor of God", the scripture was Ephesians 6:11.

John attended Albert Sidney Johnston High School and graduated in 1981. He also attended Capital City Trade and Technical School, Austin, Texas where he received his Certification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. John served in the United States Army.

John was preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert and Ola Wilson of Dallas, Texas. 

He leaves to cherish in God's care his parents, John and Annette Dickerson. Sisters: Bernadette (Harold) Urdy, Bridget Sterling-Dickerson (Dennis), Brother: Nathan (Paulette) Dickerson. Five nieces: Latosha (Sheldon) Larney, Jamie Ray, Daneille (Kameron), Prophet Shanice Alexander, Marissa Alexander. seven nephews: Laron (Ebony) Melton, Timothy Bronaugh, Anthony Sorrels, Teddie Bronaugh, Marquel Alexander, Patrick Dickerson, Kalen Dickerson. Uncles: Robert Dickerson, Houston, TX, Nathaniel (Barbara) Dickerson, Austin, TX, Aunts: Minnie Hatton, Wallis, TX and Leatrice Moore, Houston, TX. Special friends: Marvin (Dunnie) Neal, Savannah Gage and Artria Lucket, and a host of other relatives and friends.
