Diana Castro Coy, beloved mother to two children, 67, of Austin, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father early morning on March 22, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, happiness, laughter and faith. Diana was born in Austin, Texas in 1957 to Raymond Castro and Olga Trevino. Diana met the love of her life, Tony B Coy, in 1970, in the halls of Johnston High School. Diana loved to tell the story of how the second she saw him leaning up against a locker, as she walked by, she knew she was going to marry him. Four years later, they were married! Diana was a devoted mother to Anjelica Coy and Antonio Coy, her pride and joy. She was a wonderful, loving mother to them and to many others as well. Diana welcomed everyone into her home and heart, who needed help.Though she loved being a mother, she loved being a grandmother even more! Diana indulged and supported her grandchildren whole heartedly. She attended many school performances, science fairs and countless football and softball games. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and never said no to whatever they wanted or needed. Diana made many friends throughout her lifetime. She befriended anyone she crossed paths with, whether it was at work with the city or at AISD, church or out on the softball fields, but her most special friendship was with her lifelong best friend, Veronica Trevino. Diana and Veronica shared a sisterly bond and they were always there for one another. Diana loved to spend time with her family, there were many birthday parties, barbecues, Christmas parties and get togethers which all usually ended with a long session of playing loteria. She shared many laughs, hugs, tears and prayers with them. Her family was her everything and she loved all of them unconditionally. Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Castro and Olga Trevino; her siblings, Barbara Castro, Louis Hernandez, and Sylvia Flores.
