Dolores Rodriguez Posada was a caring, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was called by the Lord on Monday, April 18th, 2022. She was well known for her decorative ideas as well as her community involvement.

Dolores was born to Ignacio and Espiridiona on September 16th, 1957 in Taylor, Texas. Moving to Austin, Texas at the age of 13, she became involved in singing with the choir for over 30 years, before becoming a lector for her church. She appeared on several community involved boards and was passionate about helping others.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Ignacio C. Rodriguez and Espiridiona E. Martinez, her daughter, Rosanna R. Rodriguez, and her sister Jane Ann Rodriguez.

She is survived by her step-father, Aurelio O. Martinez; children Veronica R and Joseph A. Posada; grand-children Rolando Rodriguez, Elizabeth R., Robert L, Ivan A., Rosaleigh R, and Anastacia R. Lopez; sisters Celia A. Velazquez, Senaida Rodriguez, Andrea Barratachea, and Maggie R. Walker; her 5 nieces and 2 nephews, and numerous other family members.

The family will greet guests at a visitation to be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden /Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. The Most Holy Rosary will be recited beginning at 7:00 p.m. The Rite of Christian Burial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 28, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E. 9th St, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.

Those serving as pallbearers are: Michael A. Poorbaugh, Christopher Poorbaugh, David S. Silvas, Leoncio Hernandez, Carl C. Barboza, and Andres B. Martinez.

The family would like to thank the St. David’s Medical Staff, New Century Hospice, and all those that came from far and near to visit, and everyone else for their thoughts and prayers.
