Obituary for Rhonda Ruth Hunter Cleveland

Rhonda Ruth Hunter-Cleveland of Austin went home to be at rest, March 22, 2018.
Rhonda was born March 17, 1959. She was the seventh child born to Matthew Hunter, Sr. and Icella Jackson-Hunter.
She grew up in Austin, Texas and attended the Austin Public Schools, graduating from Albert Sidney Johnston High School. She continued her education at Austin Community College.
Rhonda was married to Howard Cleveland 1984 - 1998 and was the mother of two wonderful children whom she cherished and were her greatest joy.
She received Christ at an early age and was baptized at Rehoboth Primitive Baptist Church where she served under the leadership of Reverend R. H. Howard, Reverend R. D. Reese and Reverend R. A. Hendricks. As a youth and young adult member, she was an Usher, Choir Member and a faithful Sunday school and BTU student. She participated in the El Bethel District Association, and in various Primitive Baptist State Youth and Young Adult Events.
Rhonda’s work history consisted of Motorola Telecommunications, Travis State School, United Parcel Services (UPS), United States Postal Services, FedEx, University of Texas and Sears.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Matthew Hunter, Robert Hunter, Donald Hunter, Harvey Hunter and Daren Hunter; sister Barbara Hunter.
Rhonda is survived by her children, daughter ̶ Crystal Renee Cleveland and son ̶ Howard Cleveland, Jr.; grandchildren ̶ Jordan Keshon Moore, Jalen Letrell Moore and Aniya Marie Moore; sister ̶ Sharon Whitehurst (Carlton); brothers ̶ Lester I. Hunter, Patrick Hunter; Coy Dove and Billy G. Steen. She also leaves a host of family and friends to remember her life.
