Patrick Figueroa - Class Of 1979 VIEW PROFILE

Our beloved Patrick "Pat" Figueroa, age 63, was called to our Heavenly Father tragically on Monday, October 14, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pascual and Hilaria Figueroa and his little brother, David Figueroa. Patrick grew up in east Austin and graduated from Johnston High School in 1978. He would find that his calling in life was to be a carpenter. Patrick’s gift was building houses and anything else one could dream up. He was known for being meticulous and having an eye for what looked superior. Although carpentry was his passion, he also knew his way around electric work and plumbing. After a long day’s work, Patrick always enjoyed eating a savory meal. His favorites were enchiladas, brisket, and steaks with extra butter. More than anything, he loved a home cooked meal from his sisters, especially those Christmas tamales. There are many reasons for which Patrick will be missed. More than anything, he will be missed for always just being a phone call away when he was needed. Even when his health was failing, Patrick would make his way out to friends and family who needed a helping hand. When he wasn’t working or helping loved ones, you could find him enjoying a beer or two with friends and family. He was a proud member of the Eastside La Esquina crew, a parishioner at Sta.Julia Catholic Church where he assisted with cooking the best hamburgers at their annual Jamaica, and the name behind Pat’s Parking where he greeted friends from all over the country and the world. Patrick also loved a dance floor, and he’d never be found on one without his cowboy hat. All those who truly loved him and all those who could count on him as their “right hand man” are left with a broken heart today. Pat will be missed dearly, but surely never forgotten. Pat is survived by his children, Brittani Salas and her husband, James, and Patrick Michael Figueroa; his treasured grandchildren, Zachary Bateman, Ezekiel "Zeke" Cano, Caspian Cook, and Patrick Evan Figueroa; his siblings, Patsy Perez, Sally Paramo and her husband, Frank, Daniel Figueroa and his wife, Carmen, Janice Rodriguez, Belinda Ruiz and her husband, Sergio, and Eddie Figueroa and his wife, Nichole, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Honored Pallbearers will be Daniel Figueroa, Rueben Perez, Daniel Figueroa, Jr., Jason Paramo, Jacob Perez, Mac Rodriguez, Zeke Cano, Patrick Evan Figueroa, Eddie Figueroa, and Zach Bateman. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Sta. Julia Catholic Church, 3010 Lyons St., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S.
