Nancy was only 24 years old when our Father in Heaven took her after a long battle with AIDS. She was a beautiful, kind hearted soul. She left two beautiful children.
She attended Martin Jr. High School and Johnston High School briefly. She moved to Puerto Rico to be with her biological mother, Mary de Castro, for several years. There she graduated and moved back to Texas. She started working at Farmers Insurance in Round Rock, Texas until her illness.
She has only one brother, Felix Ybarra. She was raised by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Guzman and which she knew as her parents, so she adopted her aunts and uncles as her brothers and sisters.
She loved her children Malissa (Rodriguez)Ybarra and David Anthony Rodriguez very much and they miss her. She used to sing to them, "You are My Sunshine" when they were afraid or upset. This song will forever be connected to her. Now they are grown up and Nancy became a grandmother in 2003. I know she is in Heaven watching her grandson.
I was privledged to know her as my best friend. She is still greatly missed and will never be forgotten as long as we carry her in our hearts.
