Virginia Arellano (Salazar) - Class Of 1977

Virginia Arellano Salazar (8/4/1958-7/7/1996), age 37, of Bastrop, Texas was called to her eternal home by our Savior on Sunday, July 7, 1996.  She was preceded in death by her beloved, son, Raymundo Daniel Salazar;brother, Manuel Arellano, Jr.;grandmother, Mercedes Rodriguez and grandfather, Christobal Benavides, Sr.  She was born on August 4, 1958, in Austin, Texas, and was employed by the City of Austin Utilities Billing Department for 12 years.  She was such a caring and loving person and always shared her love unconditionally.  Her family was very important in her life.  Patience and understanding were two of her most outstanding characteristics.  Your family will miss you so very much along with the memories and love you left us.  It will never be erased from our hearts.  On Thursday, July 11, 1996, the body will lie in state at Mission Funeral Home from 11:00 to 4:30 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held at Cristo Rey Catholic Church with the Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 12, 1996, at Cristo Rey Catholic Church.  Survivors include her beloved husband of 13 years, Raymundo Salazar;daughter, Christina Ann Salazar;son, Mark Anthony Salazar;parents, Manuel and Annie Arellano;sisters, Patricia "Cha" Glover and husband Bill, of Elgin, Texas, Lydia "Leigh" Maldonado and Ruben H. Garcia;Lupe "Babe" Valadez and husband Joe A. of Austin, Texas;and her grandmother Audelia C. Benavides;10 nephews and 7 nieces.  Serving as pallbearers are her uncles, Julian Rodriguez, Roy Benavides, Armando Benavides, Raymond Benavides, Jesse Benavides, Sr. and Jimmy Benavides.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Salazar Memorial Fund.  Arrangements under the direction of Villasenor, Family Mission Funeral Home.
