Homecoming For Our Beloved Laron (Ricky) Atwood.  Sunrise was March 11, 1951, and the sun set October 21,1999.  Laron was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. George Atwood, Jr.  Born in Austin, Texas, and attended Austin Public School Districts.  Graduated from Albert Sidney Johnston High School.  He is a member of the oldest family at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  He was employed at Mr. Cool Radiator Shop as an electrician, but for many years, he was self employed as a truck driver.  He is survived by his parents, special and dear friend, Doris Pearson.  Married to Ella Johnson and to his union two daughters were born.  Laronda Atwood and Tonya Atwood.  Later he married Shirley Turner and from this union was born Derek Atwood and Eric Atwood.  He is also survived by five grandchildren.  He had two brothers, Clancy Atwood and George Atwood III (Champ);three sisters, Janice Scott, Debra Atwood and Vicki Atwood;  grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Atwood, Sr. and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.  Services will be held October 26, 1999, at 11:00 a.m., at Mt. Zion Baptist Church,  Interment, Cook Walden Capital Memorial Cemetery.
