Isiah (Jackie) Caldwell - Class Of 1975 VIEW PROFILE

siah Caldwell is the fourth of five children born in Austin, Texas to the late Rev. and Mrs. James E. Caldwell. Isiah attended Austin public schools and Austin Baptist Association Seminary and receiving a Diploma in Pastoral Ministries. He was employed with the Austin State and the City of Austin Water Utilities for 25 ½ years, retiring in 2010. He returned later to work for City of Austin in 2011. 

Isiah confessed Christ at a young age. He was baptized and became a member of the St. James Baptist Church in Plum, Texas, where his father served as pastor. He later joined Greater Love Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Carter. In 1996, he became a charter member of Turning Point Bible Fellowship Church, where Rev. Carl E. Harvey, Sr., is the pastor. 

For thirty-four years, Isiah has been married to Joan L. Caldwell, a spirit filled woman of God who he dearly loves. The Lord has blessed them with five beautiful daughters, twelve wonderful grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.. 

In 2003, Isiah made a decision to be more committed and dedicated servant and received a revelation from the Lord, calling him to the ministry. On November 23, 2003, he publicly acknowledged his call from God to preach the gospel. He preached his first sermon in January, 2004. His thirst for the Word of God directed him to enroll in seminary where he completed his studies and earned a Diploma in Pastoral Care from the Austin Baptist Bible Academy, Austin, Texas on June 8, 2007. 

He served faithfully at the Turning Point Bible Fellowship Church as Prayer Team Coordinator, assisted in teaching classes, conducting Sunday morning services and preaching at Turning Point Bible Fellowship Church. 

From 2004, to the present time, Isiah has facilitated a Bible study for the Austin Colony Neighborhood and serves as the Spiritual Advisor for a Praise Dance Ministry. 

On January 4, 2009, Isiah accepted the Lord's direction and accepted the call to serve as Pastor of St. James Baptist Church in Plum, Texas. He continued to be faithful in study, teaching, preaching and serving however the Lord directed for the growth of the church. 

Pastor Isiah Caldwell formed the Ministers of God Christian Association in June 2013. The vision of this Association is to reach and encourage fellow pastors in ministry as well as community outreach. As founder, he was passionate about bringing all denominations together as one.

In 2014, the Lord directed Pastor Caldwell on a new journey to encourage churches to be united in Christ and come together on one accord. He organized United in Christ Bible Fellowship Church and was installed as pastor on December 21, 2014.

He is preceded in death by his parents Rev. and Mrs. James Caldwell, Sr., mother and father-law, Bishop. and Mrs. Daniel Davis, Jr. and brother, the late Deacon James E. Caldwell.

He leaves to celebrate his memory his loving wife, Joan, daughters, LaTonya (James), Tamitra, Shanaye, Tamika (David), Jacquelyn, grandchildren, Sheawna, Jamie, Keawna, James, Jr., Issiah, Octavia, Avante, Khobe, Khira, Latrell, Zion, Jamie, Azaiah; great grandchildren, Olajuwon, Heaven; sister, Linda Harvey (Carl Sr.), three brothers, Rev. Willie E. Caldwell, Darrell E. Caldwell (Sharon) and, brother in law, Daniel Davis III, Aunt, Nobie Ray (Charles) and host of other relatives and friends.
