John Ray Vasquez, 61, of Cedar Park, Texas, passed away on July 14, 2017.  He was born on August 18, 1955, in Austin, Texas, to David Vasquez and Carlota (Silva) Vasquez.

John was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Carlota Vasquez and brother, Tom Vasquez.  John is survived by his wife, Minnie (Lopez) Vasquez of Cedar Park; children, Jennifer Escobar and husband Bryan of Austin; Janette Garcia and husband Jeffrey of Austin; Andrew Vasquez and wife Lindsay of Austin; grandchildren, Aereole Garcia, Averi Garcia, Aubrey Garcia, Alex Escobar and his wife Sahrina, and Ariana Escobar; great grandson, Anthony Cain Escobar; sisters, Estella Vasquez and Lupe Vasquez; brothers, David Vasquez, Louie Vasquez, Ralph Vasquez, Gilbert Vasquez, Carlos Vasquez, Edward Vasquez, and Ernest Vasquez; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at 6:00 pm with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Beck Funeral Home, Cedar Park, Texas.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017, at St Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Cedar Park, Texas.  A reception for family and friends will immediately follow at the church.  

A private family burial will be on Friday, July 21, 2017, at Assumption Cemetery, Austin, Texas.
