Michael Anthony Polanco

April 9, 1963 - August 2, 1993

Michael Anthony Polanco, age 30, of Austin, Texas, died Saturday, August 2, 1993; our beloved and loving brother, who always loved our Lord and loved reading God's sacred word.

In his short life, Michael courageously conquered many personal trials.  He leaves all who knew him with many happy memories filled with his warm smiles, and his kind and loving spirit.

Michael graduated from Johnston High and attended the University of Houston Downtown.  He was a successful athlete with all District Football Honors.  Recently, "Coach Mike" led the Manchaca A's Bronco Baseball Team to a first place championship.

Michael served in the armed forces and received commendations for his duty and service.  He was a computer operator with Progressive Insurance Compaies of Austin.

He is survived by his 10-year old son, Eric Polanco; parents, Victor Polanco Jr. and Dora Esparza Polanco; grandparents, Genaro Esparza Sr. and Esther Polanco.  Brothers are Victor Polanco III, Gabriel Padilla, Lee B.,Hector J., and Donald C. Sisters are Marie P. Moreno, Dora A. Polanco and Luci Solano.

The family will receive friends at Wilke-Clay Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress.  A Rosary was scheduled for 8;00 PM, Monday, August 2 at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass is 10;00 AM Tuesay, August 3, 1993, St. Ignatius Catholic Church with Reverend Harold Zink, C.S.C. officiating.  Burial is in Assumption Cemetery.

Pallbearers are VIctor Polanco III, David C. Blanco, Gabriel Padilla, Lee B. Polanco, Eric Solano, Genard Esparza Jr., Eric Polanco, and Hector J. Polanco.
