Arthur Lee CLarkson, Jr. was the first child of three born to Ms. Willie Mae and Mr. Daniel Lee Clarkson, Sr. on December 19, 1962 in Alice, Texas.  He accepted Christ at an early age at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church under Pastor E. L. Roberts; Arthur was also baptized by Pastor E.L. Roberts.

Arthur received his formal education in the Austin Independent Schools and graduated from the A.S. Johnston High School in 1982.  He was preceded in death by his father Daniel Lee Clarkson, Sr., grandparents Willie and Ether Thompson; grandparents Arthur and Mary Clarkson.  Arthur leaves to cherish his memories - mother: Willie Mae Thompson; two sisters, Robert Sullican (Michael), Mary Clarkson, Nobie Adams (Lester): two brothers: Daniel Lee Clarkson, Jr. (Charlene), James Dubose (Lydia); special aunt, Shirley Ann Hill, five daughters: Marketta, La Tausha Spivey (Chris), Jane, Shawndra, Allejhia; five grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
