Harold Douglas Collins was born July 1, 1947, in Austin, Texas, to Ernest and Lula Collins.  Harold was the youngest of four children.  He attended Austin Public School.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife of 36 years, Jewell; son, Lamont; brothers, Robert Lee Winn and Kenneth Collins (LaVerne).
