Obituary for Fernando "Bugs" Moran

Our Beloved Fernando Isaias Moran, age 67, of Cedar Creek, Texas was called home by Our Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 30th, 2022, into eternal rest.

Fernando (Bugs) was born in Austin, Texas on November 7th, 1954. He grew up in the Montopolis area off Thrasher Lane and graduated from Johnston High School in 1973. He worked for the Texas Department of Insurance and retired in 2004 after 30 years of service.

Bugs cherished the family land in Cedar Creek. He spent most of his life working to maintain the land and made it his home with his wife of 25 years, Collette (Coco).

Bugs supported his family in all their endeavors. From horses to military service and moves across the country to pursue dreams and careers, he was there to offer advice, common sense, and help his girls when needed.

Bugs was a strong-willed man, loving husband, great father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a good friend to many people. He was loved by all who met him and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse & Dolores (Reyes) Moran, his sister Maria Yolanda Valdez, and brother, Albert Moran.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Collette Moran, his daughters, Lisa Moran, Danielle Deleon Guerrero, Sarah Martin (Aaron), and his grand-daughters, Evelynn, and Scarlett Harvey; his sister Isabel Christine Gonzalez (Roy) and brother Joe Moran; his nephews, Amado and Abran Rocha and their families.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00AM on Monday, December 5th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4045 FM 535, Rockne, TX 78602. In honor of Bugs and his love of sports and hunting, the family requests attendees to refrain from wearing black and consider wearing Dallas Cowboys blue, Houston Astros orange, Texas Longhorns burnt orange or your best-looking camo attire.
