Charles Edward McDonald Charles Edward McDonald, was born February 20, 1949, in Austin, Texas; passed away on Friday, April 25, 2009 at the age of 60. He was the son of James and Pearl McDonald, who preceded him in death. He served in the U. S. Marines following graduation from Johnston High School in 1968 and was honorably discharged after two years of military service. Later he worked at Johnston High School as a Hall Monitor for more than a decade. His last employment was with Ace Southwest. He is survived by four sisters, Barbara Organ (Charles), Shirley Halorday (Samuel), Stella Bryant (John), and Jeanette Swain (Bobby); two brothers, Mark McDonald (Annie), Andrew McDonald (Neta); sister-in-law, Joy Bell Ray, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Charles will be missed dearly by his many family and friends. God looked around his garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon this Earth and saw your tire face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. He knew that you were suffering and knew you were in pain. He closed your eyes and and called you home. Visitation will be Friday, May 1, at King-Tears Mortuary, Inc., 1300 East 12th Street, Austin from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Alice Taylor King Chapel at King-Tears Mortuary. Service entrusted to A Life Celeration by Franklin (510 S. Main Street, Taylor, TX).
