Louis MANOR Obituary

MANOR, Louis Arthur Louis Arthur Manor was born on February 10, 1953 in Austin, Texas to Isaiah and Lillie Manor. He passed away unexpectedly after a lengthy battle with diabetes on June 9, 2017. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, his eldest sister Lillie Ann Rucker, his brothers IJohn Manor, Sr., Charles James Manor, Sr., and his younger brother Billy Clyde Manor. He leaves to mourn his passing his siblings Isaiah Manor Jr., Mary Felan (Merced), Frances Hayward (Sam), Roger Manor (Marilyn), Cheryl Manor, Diane Watson, Carl Manor, three paternal aunts, one paternal uncle, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Louis was born and raised in Austin, Texas and attended Sims Elementary, Allen Junior High, and graduated from A.S. Johnston High School. After graduation Louis enlisted and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam war and was honorably discharged. Louis was baptized at an early age at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Joe Dixon. At the time of his passing Louis was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Laroy Johnson where he sang in the men's choir. On occasion, Louis would sing with his sisters Mary and Diane in the community and at nursing homes. Louis loved his family and especially enjoyed hearing stories about his nieces and nephews. Visitation Services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 8507 N. IH-35, Austin, Texas, Phone: (512) 339-8878. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church, 4907 Springdale Road, Austin, Texas 78723. Internment Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday June 20, 2017 at 11:00am at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Killeen, Texas.
