Curtis Ray Fowler was born in Austin, Texas on March 13, 1956 to Warren and Minnie Fowler.

He was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church under Reverend S. A. Davis.

He graduated from Johnston High School and went on to work for the City of Austin for 13 years. He enjoyed playing basketball, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and reading in his spare time.

He is preceded in death by his father, Warren.

He is survived by his children, Quincy Hopkins (Netsanet), Candace Fowler, and Curtis Charles Fowler, all of Austin, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his mother, Minnie L. Fowler of Austin, Texas; siblings, Kenneth Fowler (Gail) of Georgetown, Texas, and Angela Fowler-Davis of Austin, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
