Born on October 8, 1949, to John Galindo and Pauline (Flores) Galindo, Oralia was a cherished member of her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and faith that will be remembered and celebrated by all who knew her.

Oralia attended Johnston High School, where she was a proud member of the Pan Am Club in 1965. Her passion for working with children led her to a fulfilling career with the Austin Independent School District as a Special Education Teacher Aide, a Bilingual Teacher Aide, and a bus driver. She also taught at Rivers of Living Water Christian Academy and South First Christian Academy, positively impacting the lives of countless children throughout her career.

On March 17, 1967, Oralia married the love of her life, Louis A. Martinez. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including their children Karen Martinez (Lupe), Nannette A. Martinez, John A. Martinez, and Stephanie Arredondo (Rene). Oralia was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, always providing love, support, and encouragement to her family. She is survived by her husband, Louis, their children, six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Oralia was also dearly loved by her siblings and their families. She shared a special bond with her siblings Tomasa Cardenas (deceased), John Galindo (Carmen), Ninfa Partida (deceased), Thelma Harkrider (Dennis), Gracie Rowland, and Bernice Valdez (Ernest). Oralia was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, and her love knew no bounds.

A faithful follower of Christ, Oralia was an active member of Christian Life Church. She lived out her faith daily, touching the lives of those around her with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering belief in the power of love. Her favorite Bible scripture, 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8, exemplifies her approach to life: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

Oralia's hobbies included crafting, reading, knitting, dancing, and playing bingo. She was incredibly talented, particularly in baking, and her creations brought joy to her family and friends. Oralia loved to travel with her husband, exploring the world by plane, boat, or bus, but her favorite adventures were the motorcycle rides they shared together.
