Anita J. McNeil was born October 13, 1962, in Littlefield, Texas to Henry Mitchell Sr. and Catherine Johnson. Anita received her high school diploma from Johnston High School in Austin, Texas. Anita continued to live in Austin where she met the love of her life, Aaron McNeil. Anita Mitchell and Aaron McNeil then married on October 14, 1989. Anita lived as an army wife for six years. Anita and Aaron moved back to Austin so Anita could pursue her Paralegal degree. While working on her Paralegal degree, Anita work at BFI as a Scale Operator.

Anita attended and received her Paralegal degree from Southern Careers Institute. Anita then became a housewife and took care of many of her nieces and nephews. While being a housewife, Anita decided she wanted to open a hair business, AJ’s Gift Shop.

Anita is preceded in death by her father, Henry Mitchell Sr.; brothers, Henry Mitchell Jr., and Bobby Earl Mitchell; and sister, Joyce Marie Mitchell. Anita will lovingly be remembered by her husband, Aaron; her mother, Catherine Johnson; siblings, Eugene Mitchell, Sharry McBride, Timothy Mitchell, Janice Mitchell, Tashara Angelle (Alvan Angelle) and Maryum Mitchell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
