Romona Guerra

1951 - 2016

Our beloved Romona Guerra, age 64, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 30, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Josefina Guerra. She is survived by her loving daughter, Renee Estrada and her husband, Joe, and her son, Javier Rodriguez, Jr. and his wife, Melissa Adames; four grandchildren, Sophia and Lydia Estrada and Elijah and Nicholas Rodriguez; her sister, Yolanda Guerra Sifentez and her husband, Moses; her brothers, John Guerra and his wife, Mary Lou and Luis Anthony Moncada Guerra, Jr. We little knew that day God would call your name. In life we loved you dearly. In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn’t go alone, for a part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one the chain will link again. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2016, with Recitation of Holy Rosary being held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1209 E. 9th St., Austin, Texas. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
