Salvador Briones Macias Jr., 74, of Austin, Texas, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017. He was born on September 5, 1942, to Salvador Briones Macias Sr., and Josephina Briones Macias in Pharr, Texas.
He graduated from St. Edward's University with a Master's Degree in Public Administration. Salvador was a faithful member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and was proud to also be a part of the Knights of Columbus. He retired from the City of Austin and also retired from the Internal Revenue Service. He loved spending time with his family and collecting Beanie Babies.
Salvador was preceded in death by his parents. He will be sadly missed by his loving sons, Rene Macias and Christopher Macias and wife, Rachael Annette Macias; grandchildren, Karissa Renea Macias, David Anthony Macias, Brandon Michael Macias, Cheyenne Annette Macias, Maleigha Reann Macias, Manex Rey Macias, and Sierra Ashton Farrar; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday, September 4, 2017, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Celebration will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill Road.
