We remember with deep respect and admiration the life of Rosendo Garcia, born on March 1, 1946, in Hays County, Texas, who passed away on May 4, 2024. A humble man who embodied quiet strength and dignity, Rosendo was a cherished father, a dedicated worker, and a pillar of his community in Austin, Texas. Rosendo is survived by his loving children Esther Muñoz and husband, Frederick, Sharon Limas and wife, Amy, Michael Garcia and wife, Michelle, and Stephanie Gallegos and husband, Jacob, 12 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren. Rosendo was preceded in death by his Mother, Maria Valdez. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, 15 May 2024 at 5:00 pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin, Texas 78702, with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day on Thursday, 16 May 2024 at 10:00 am, at Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montopolis Dr., Austin, Texas 78741. Interment will follow at 11:30 am, at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 12501 N. IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
