Our beloved Sylvia Gomez Astran, age 67, was called to our Heavenly Father. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Paul Astran, Jr.; her parents, Juan and Margaret Gomez; her brothers, John Gomez and Ismael Gomez, and her precious great granddaughter. She is survived by her children, Phillip Gomez, Belinda Astran (Jose Villanueva), Melissa Astran (Angel Guadalupe Lopez), and Justin Astran; her grandchildren, Desiray Navejas, Linda Gomez, Lorian Gomez, Roxann Astran Villanueva (Joe), Angelica Martinez (Victor Duque), Joseph Martinez, Paul Michael Villalpando (Judy), Christopher Villalpando (Destiny), Alicia Villalpando (Benny Chavez), Emilee Villalpando, and Adam Rey Villalpando; her siblings, Terri Gomez, Rachel Gomez, Maryann Granados, Cathy Gomez, and Frank Gomez; her sister-in-law, Alice Esparza, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024 at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church, 126 W. Oltorf St., Austin, Texas. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
