Vicenta Guzman Martinez

January 22, 1951  -  January 20, 2024

Vicenta Guzman Martinez, age 72 years old known as Bibi was born on January 22, 1951. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her husband and loving family on January 20,2024.

Vicenta "Bibi" is an original Austinite and raised in the Montopolis area. She graduated from Johnston High School. She retired from Seton Medical Hospital after 35 years of service.

Vicenta "Bibi" held a very special place in her heart for her grandson Gustavo Calvo IV, who became her caregiver and viewed him more like a son.

Vicenta "Bibi" was a strong and fiery woman. The glue that kept her family bonded together. She never sugar coated anything and spoke her mind to family and friends. Behind closed doors, she was a prayer warrior for her family and held a strong personal loving relationship with God. Her legacy will live on through her family.

Vicenta "Bibi" is survived by her loving husband of over 23 years Roberto Martinez Almeda. Sons: Gustavo "Nuno" Calvo III (spouse Sady), Jonathan "J.C" Calvo (spouse Yvette), Gregory Calvo, Grandson-Gustavo Calvo IV (partner Yvette). Brother Juan Guzman (spouse Janie), Sisters: Mary Castro (spouse Alex), Ruby Romo, Lorine Guzman, Gidget Guzman (spouse Edward H). 10-Grandchildren, 11 Great-grandchildren, 4 Step-grandchildren, 5 Step-Great-grandchildren.

Vicenta "Bibi" was preceded in death by her parents Eugenio" Chema" Aleman Guzman and Concepcion "Concha" Escalante Guzman, brothers Eugene Guzman, James Guzman, and Felix Ybarra. Sister Nancy Ybarra, and Brother-in-law Sylvester Romo Sr.

Vicenta "Bibi" will be greatly missed by her entire family and friends.

A rosary will be held at 7:00PM on Tuesday Febuary 6th at Harrell Funeral Homes in Austin Tx.
