Samuel "Sam" Davis was born to Katherine Davis and Booker T. Russell (who both preceded him in death) on August 8th, 1953 in Austin, TX.

He attended AISD his entire life, but later received his GED in the late 1970s.

He was kind loving spirit who would do anything to anyone, he would give his last to help. He loved with his entire heart, and was quick to forgive those who wronged him.

Sam accepted Christ at an early age, where he attended Saint Paul Primitive Baptist Church.

Sam loved his family, especially his kids and grandkids more than life itself. He worked for the State of Texas for more than 20 years as an AC and boiler operator until he retired in the early 2000s from his health.

Sam enjoyed celebrating with family, especially during the holidays. He loved telling jokes as if they were true stories, and was a HUGE Cowboys fan. He loved playing dominoes, cards, and to BBQ! He will be forever missed.

He leaves behind his son Samuel "RayRay" Davis, daughter Andrea "Trice" Davis (Tyrone Sr.), his girlfriend Michelle Burton and step son Michael Burton, his longtime friend and ex-wife Barbara R. Davis, his grandsons Tyrone D. Berry Jr., Dominique Castillo, Tyreece Berry, granddaughters Samara L Davis, Tyrashae R.L. Berry, LaMiracle J. Davis, great grandsons  Seviin Castillo, Tyrone Berry III and Kyrie Thompson and great granddaughter Ellah Rangel.

He was preceded in death by brothers Roy and Marlon, and leaves behind Freddie, Donald Ray, Robert Lee, and Charles, and sisters Barbara Lynn and Alice Faye, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
