David Alan Lysek - Class Of 1972 VIEW PROFILE

David Alan Lysek was born on June 24, 1952, in Austin, Texas, to Henry and Pat Lysek. He passed away on a beautiful October day. At the age of 17, David joined the Army National Guard. He served in the areas of the Military Police, and Engineering, obtaining the rank of SS6. David entered Flight School in 1979, to fly helicopters. He became a respected Pilot to all his peers, and with so much hard work, became an Instructor Pilot. Safety of the crew was always his utmost concern. He retired as Chief Warrant Officer 3. David, also, was a Police Officer with the Austin Police Department for 15 years, obtaining his Master Peace Officer License. Utilizing all of his skills from his experiences, he became a Collision Reconstructionist, and opened his own business, which lasted 22 years. For a number of years, David was a dedicated Volunteer Fire Fighter in the community of Dripping Springs. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Lysek. He is survived by his wife, Dellette Zett Lysek; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Kassondra Lysek, son Lucas Lysek; his mother, Pat Lysek; sisters, Maureen Neans, Ann Lysek, Eileen Frazier; brother Michael Lysek; and many nieces and nephews. David will be dearly missed by so many who loved him. CAV. APD. HCVFD. He was a loving husband, and father. He gave his wife and sons the gift of love of the great outdoors at 102 Rocky Creek Road, Dripping Springs, Texas, a lifetime of memories forever. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to local Veterans Programs and Organizations. Recitation of the Holy Rosary and visitation will be Wednesday, October 21st, at 7:00 p.m., at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar, Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 22nd, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
