Our beloved Gilbert "Beta" Abeita, age 62, was called to our Heavenly Father on Monday, October 12, 2020. He was preceded in death by his paretns, Pedro and Alejandra Abeita; his brothers, Robert, Daniel, and Rudy Abeita; his sisters Lucille Gaona (Eugene), Mary Louise Abeita (Manuel), and Audelia Abeita, and his brother-in-law, Joel Lozano. Beta is survived by his sisters, Orfalinda Limon (Pedro), Lillian Lozano, Olivia Garcia (Jose); his brother, Anthony Acosta (Gloria); his sister-in-law, Irene Abeita, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2020. Recitation of Holy Rosary followed by a Scripture Service will begin at 11:00 a.m., following Visitation, at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Services will be live-streamed to allow those unable to attend to participate. Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.
