Robert Rendon Gonzalez

Robert Rendon Gonzalez, 63 of Trenton, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 with his family by his side at the Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph.

Robert son of Maria Gonzalez was born January 3, 1958 in Austin, Texas. Robert joined the US Navy on November 28, 1977. He received several medals, ribbons, and awards, Navy Achievement medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Battle “E” Ribbon, 4th Good Conduct Award, Navy Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy Recruiting Service Ribbon, and Silver Wreath Award.

Robert married Linda Brooks from Diana, West Virginia, on June 2, 1984 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

He is survived by his wife Linda of the home; his children, Heather and Tony Cash, Travis and Katie Gonzalez, Justin Gonzalez, and Malissia Gonzalez all from Trenton, MO; grandchildren, Matthew and Joseph Brittain, Edward, Ethan, and Natalie Crawford, and Ivan Baker all from Trenton, MO; sisters, Gloria Herrera and Sylvia Garcia both from Austin, TX; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews from Austin, TX.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents Maria E. and Frank Gonzalez, grandson Mason D. Brittain, brother Abel Herrera,and brother-in-laws Paulino Garcia, Stanley Brooks,Bill Hall,Ray Brooks,Thomas Brooks, and Jimmy McCraw .

Graveside Services with full Military Honors provided by the Brookfield VFW Post #4557 and the US Navy will be at 2:00 pm Thursday September 16.2021 with visitation from 1:00 pm to time of service at Parklawn Memorial Garden Cemetery, Brookfield, MO; with Reverend Mandy Tarpening officiating; with burial to follow.
