Anselmo Tanguma

Anselmo Tanguma Jr. passed away suddenly on Friday, March 24, 2023 at the age of 70.

He is preceded in death by his mother Jacinta V. Tanguma and his father Anselmo Tanguma.

He is survived by his siblings Mary Alice Eckman and husband (Edwin, deceased), Dora Tanguma, Albert Tanguma and wife (Stella), Carmen Cardenas Portillo and husband (Lupe), Susan Ann Ruiz and husband (Jose), Dale E. Tanguma and wife (Suzanne) as well as many nieces and nephews.

Anselmo was a true force of nature with a funny and caring personality. He served in the United States Marine Corps as a mechanic. He was a life-long resident of Austin, TX. and a loving son, brother and uncle. Despite being faced with many challenges during his life Anselmo was a devoted Catholic who was determined to persevere through anything life threw his way. Anselmo will be truly missed by his family and friends but we smile knowing that he will be greeted by both his mother and father in heaven who will guide him through God’s heavenly gates to his eternal resting place.

While we ask for the family's privacy and allow them a private viewing, the family asks that you join them in Anselmo’s final send off. The internment will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 11463 TX-95, Killeen, TX 76542 on a later date.
