Lalene Rose Henderson - Class Of 1973 VIEW PROFILE

Lalene Rose Henderson Redding was born on August 20, 1954 in Austin, Texas to Roscoe and Bennie Henderson. She was the third of seven children. She was preceded in death by both parents and her two brothers, Harold and Elliott Henderson.

Lalene Rose professed a hope in Christ, at an early age, at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.

Lalene Rose received her education through the Austin Independent School District and Austin Community College and CDA Child Development certification. She worked for Child Inc., and went on to become the director of Alpha Omega Educational Development Center for many decades. She also taught international students. She dedicated and devoted her life to teach and mentor many generations of children. She would even take children home with her when parents needed her help. Children were her passion and her pass time was collecting Mickey Mouse memorabilia.

On September 17, Lalene Rose married Robert Redding Jr.

Lalene Rose leaves, to cherish her precious memories: her son, Jason Redding; daughter Keon Simone Henderson; granddaughter, Kayina LaNae Henderson, for whom she was caring until her departure from this life. She also leaves her brothers, Bishop Joseph Henderson; Rev. Willie Henderson; Clinton Henderson; and her sister, Cheryl Henderson Fisher; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.

Lalene Rose departed from her life, here on Earth, at the age of 66, on Friday, July 2, 2021.
