Our beloved, Janie Alba Lehman, was called home to our Heavenly Father, on Sunday, August 1st, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents Paul Duran Alba and Ramona Castro Alba, and by her sister Bertha A. Terbay. Janie is survived by her husband, of 40 beautiful years, Wayne Lee Lehman; her adoring children, Frank Huerta and his wife Christina, and Diana Birdwell and her husband Andy; her grandchildren Serena Raye Huerta and Andrew Christopher Birdwell; siblings, Mary A. Rodriguez, Paul C. Alba and his wife, Tweena, Susan A. Howard and her husband, Ken, Joe Alba and his wife, Yolanda, Hortensia A. Miller; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many loving family members and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2021, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First St. Austin, TX 78745. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Ave, Austin, TX 78704. Interment will follow at Assumption cemetery. Serving as pallbearers, Andrew Birdwell, Richard Zamora, Robert Sangiovanni, Joseph Alba, Paul Alba III, Reuben Miller, Carlos Mata, Adan Luna; Honorary Pallbearer, Kameron Lee Luna. Services will be live-streamed to allow those unable to attend to participate. Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin, capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries. Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus, it is recommended that you not attend services.
