Mr Alvyn Eugene Foster Obituary

Alvin Eugene Foster, age 72, a native of Austin, Texas and a resident of Madera for 50 years passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. Alvin graduated from high school in 1968 and later served his country in the U.S. Air Force receiving his training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Following his military service Alvin completed Motel & Hotel Management Courses and received his diploma in 1973. His career in the Hospitality Industry spanned more than 30 years where he worked at Madera Valley Inn for 30 years and later at The Sheraton Inn and at The Hampton Inn Suites, retiring in 2017.

Alvin was strong willed and self-supporting. He was family oriented and he loved playing softball, watching his Pittsburgh Steelers with his family and barbecuing, and last but not least keeping his cars clean.

Mr. Foster was preceded in glory by his mother May Pearl Baker.

He is survived by his wife Donna Allen-Foster of Madera of 48 years. His three children, Rhonda Jefferson-Counsel and husband Talli of Fresno, Derek Foster and wife Lenise of Castro Valley and Brittany Foster, of Madera, Ca. He also leaves behind, six grandchildren, Alana Alyse Cook, Leilani Aniya Foster, Jada Lauren Foster, Lyriq Aleece Foster, Ellyana Kendall Davis and Derek Emmanuel Foster.

Private Graveside Services were held under the direction of Jay Chapel Madera.
