Gabriel E. Ramos Sunrise, February 26, 1949 Sunset, October 15, 2010 Our Lord and Savior gathered Gabriel gently into his arms and welcomed him into a place of heavenly peace and eternal life. No longer will you suffer, rest in peace now our love. You will never be forgotten. He lived life with a beautiful smile, laughter and love. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era for four years. Your family will forever remember you and keep you in our hearts and souls. Gabriel leaves behind to honor his memory with love, his wife of 41 years, Diana Ramos; children, Gina Ramos (Mike Compton), Trina Montemayor (Mike Montemayor), Christopher Ramos (Bianca Ramos), Christina Nicholson (Michael Nicholson); eight grandchildren whom he loved with a passion, Roman Gabriel Ramos, Christopher Compton, Justin, Alyssa, Madisson, and McKenzie Monemayor, Tialda Ramos, and Mya Mary Nicholson; parents, Isidro and Vicki Ramos; brother, Joe Ramos (Gloria Ramos); numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Gabriel is being cared for at Angel Funeral Home, 1600 S. First Street. Rosary is at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2010, Angel Funeral Home. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church. Burial with full military honors will be at Assumption Cemetery, October 22, 2010. A celebration of his life will be held at Catholic War Veteran's Post 1805, 4913 S. Congress Ave. The Ramos family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Intensive Care Unit at St. David's South Austin Hospital for their loving and compassionate care of Gabriel.
