Our dearly loved Rudolph "Rudy" P. Castro, Age 58, was peacefully called to rest on Thursday, November 22, 2018.
Born and raised in Austin, Texas, he took pride in himself, his home and his family. He was a hardworking provider—a salesman at heart and enjoyed the entrepreneurial hustle.
He will be remembered by his unique sense of humor and playful demeanor. He was a jokester and loved to make people laugh.
Rudy lived life to the fullest and was always on the go. He especially enjoyed music, concerts, dancing and spending the day at the lake or water park. No one can pack a cooler of snacks like he could!
Rudy has always been a sports fan and had a competitive nature. As a boy, he participated in boxing, track, ping pong and football. He spent countless days with brothers and close friends at Pan Am Recreation Center. As he grew up, he enjoyed playing softball and basketball. He was an avid Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys fan and proudly represented his teams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Maria Castro. He is survived by siblings, Mike Castro (Pat), Tony Castro (Bertha), Marie Ramirez (Richard) and Frank Castro; daughters, Michelle C. Barrera (Victor), and Megan Castro (Karaan); sons Mark Castillo (Jaime) and Don Castillo (Bridget); first-born grandson, Bryan Scott Lewis (Azeria), and grandchildren, Marquis, Ariana, Mark Jr., Jacob, Andres, Aniston, Melina, Quentin, Gavin, Pilar, Caroline, and Teri Ann; great granddaughters, Layla and Malana; numerous friends and family; and wife of over 30 years, Carolyn E. Castro.
