Fredirico "Fred" Tovar

Fredirico was born on November 6th, 1955 and passed away on July 9th, 2024 at the age of 68

Our beloved Fredirico "Fred" M. Tovar, age 68, resident of Kyle, Texas (raised in East Austin) was called home to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, peacefully and surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Tovar and his sister, Angelita Tovar. Fred was employed by Travis County as facility maintenance supervisor for over 29 years. He was a devoted father, husband, brother and fan of the Dallas Cowboys and UT Longhorns. He loved listening to his music; Little Joe, Mazz, and Julio Iglesias, and many more. Fred is survived by his mother, Natividad M. Tovar; his beloved wife of 47 years, Enedelia "Ennie" Tovar; his children, Michael Tovar and Ashley Tovar (Addison Mahaffey); his siblings, Gilbert Tovar (Frances), Edward Tovar, Andrew Tovar (Lisa), Manuel Tovar (Connie), Norma Tovar, and Joe Tovar, Jr. (Angie); and his beloved dog, Bear; numerous nieces, nephews, many cousins and other loving family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers are Alex Baladez, Adam Briones, Addison Mahaffey, Mark Naper, Gilbert Tovar, Jr., and Joshua Tovar. Honorary pallbearer is Erik Perez. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Dr., Austin, Texas 78704. Burial to follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Dr., Austin, Texas 78731.
